*Bellydancing: 1 hour. Leila of Egypt dvd for beginners. Sections on arms and hip circles.Yes, I’ve been dabbling in this sporadically for about a year. This morning, I had the overwhelming urge to bellydance. Even dolled up with black, liquid eyeliner (which I’m usually too inept and too chicken to wear) and smoky eyeshadow (which I don’t do all that well) and wore my coin-embellished halter and hip scarf. I like costuming; so sue me! Glad I gave in to the bellydance urge. Fun!

*Cardio: 46 minutes. Not sure how that extra minute got added on to the more standard 45… Anyhow, Matrix Exercise Bike. Set on “random” program, which ain’t Intervals and ain’t Rolling Hills but is still tough! 41 minutes at Level 7, covering 10.61 miles. I hit 10 miles just before 40 minutes, which means I kept the pace of about a 4-minute mile. Not bad. Then in the cool-down section, the bike automatically goes to Level 1 and I covered a mile. Total miles: 11.61. Worked up a sweat.

*Post-cardio stretching: 10 minutes.

I had hoped to do at least a bit of at-home weight training this evening, but I was absolutely whipped after my bike time at the gym. I’m thinking I need to distribute my food intake more equally across the course of the day. Eating three “squares” actually makes for more crashes in energy than does eating five “smalls” a day. I know this, but it takes some planning and organization to pull it off.
